PULSAR® recently replaced their existing Teflon™ technology in their combat trousers and combat coveralls with the new Teflon EcoElite™ Renewably Sourced Finish – a brand new plant-based textile repellent.
Teflon EcoElite™ finish is a bio-based and non-fluorinated stain-repellent technology that repels water and water-based stains. The finish can be applied to a variety of fabrics without impacting feel or breathability.
Teflon EcoElite™ finish is also up to three times more durable than other non-fluorinated, water-repellent finishes. Because many of its ingredients can be regrown and replaced over time, its production leaves a smaller environmental footprint.
The technology behind Teflon EcoElite™ repellent doesn’t sacrifice quality. Many demanding applications rely on its dependable performance. A market leader, Teflon EcoElite™ finish continues to repel water and water-based stains for 30 or more washes, unlike other non-fluorinated finishes.
The high-performance attributes of Teflon EcoElite™ finish include:
Up to three times more durability than other non-fluorinated repellents
A composition of 60% renewably sourced raw materials (ASTM D-6866-12)
The ability to maintain fabric breathability
The chemistry for Teflon EcoElite™ renewably sourced finish (Zelan™ R3) is bluesign® approved.
Also, because many of its ingredients can be regrown and replaced over time, its production leaves a smaller environmental footprint.
